11/15/2023 0 Comments Weak antilocalization phase coherenceHiding credentials gives the illusion of security. If you want them to have their own credentials then they need to have their own account on the service/website. The search functionality doesn't work as expected (global search seems to be broken) and my logins don't seem to be synced.ġPassword Teams and 1Password Families let you share your credentials with other team/family members. Most annoyingly, I can't seem to find the logins I really need without digging around. Syncing & search issuesĪs mentioned on here before, there seems to be an inconsistent experience between the Mac OS app and the Chrome extension. Thus, all my 1P logins are in one folder. Not worth the effort when moving quickly. Normally this shouldn't matter but 1P does NOT have autocomplete so when I add a new login I either have to memorize all my tags or look it up. It's also a lifesaver for if I accidentally can't get back into my account.ĭoes this feature exist with 1P? I can't seem to find it.\ Categories This is great for when I die and they need to login to my accounts. If I don't respond (ie, deny access) within a few days, they then have access to my login. With LP, I'm allowed to designate a trusty family member that can request access to my account. What happens when I die or can't log back in? Using 1P, I can't keep track of who has access to what (without manually keeping a list) and when I'm ready to withdraw access, I have to change the password. Said another way, 1P seems to only let me share a link that includes username & password, but LP lets me grant login abilities to my team WITHOUT sharing the password. Whereas 1P lets me share login details/credentials with other users, LP lets me share the entire login experience. With that said, even if a tool looks great, I can't use it long term if it's lacking in functionality. It also fills form fields much easier and with fewer clicks. It feels newer and a much smoother experience. Let's start with what I loved about 1P - their UI is far superior than LP. I'm really hoping the issues below are user errors (ie, my fault), so I can stay a 1P member - I'm all ears and would love to know! User interface (UI) Unfortuantely, I may now have to switch back :( even though I like the 1P UI much better. I've been using LastPass for years and decided to make the jump for a month or so to 1Password. There's a reason I posted instead of silently switching. □ĮDIT: if you downvote this post and the comments just bc you are a 1P fanboy, you aren't helping the cause.
